and welcome to Magdaandkidsdothings.com! I hope you will enjoy some ideas I put together and made with my children - Jack (8) and Anna (4). I am originally from the Czech Republic but I have been living in UK for more ten 20 years. After graduating from University of Ostrava I came to London and my adventures begun. My work background is Childcare, Education and Museums - I worked as Learning Facilitator for more than 12 years. My passion is photography, arts and crafts, storytelling and film making.

 

 I got made redundant recently and I created Magdaandkidsdothings  to give me something fun and inspirational to do in times of Covid -19. 

I miss connecting with people through art and storytelling. Art is for everyone and it is the way we express ourselves. My dad had a huge influence on me - I remember when he turned our bathroom into "dark room" and showed me how to develop photos - it was truly magical! He was also a film maker - I used to watch him gluing 8mm film together by hand!!Film editing in the 80's! :-) Times have changed so much! Last time I made and edited video was maybe almost 10 year ago! I had my children and there was just no time. My children are a bit older now , I have little more time and  I feel like I should give it another go - but technology is so advanced and I am only trying to catch up ..and spend some time with my children before they grow up! 

I also started to play ukulele...I used to play a guitar when I was younger but unfortunately I stopped when I hit teenage years as it wasn't cool enough... :-).
